UTF-8
Description
Some MUD clients have an option which can be enabled to allow servers to send them UTF-8 sequences. Other clients can be set to use the UTF-8 character set through an escape code.
Server Enabling
If a telnet client supports it, a server can force it to use a UTF-8 character set by sending the escape sequence ESC+%G. After this point, the server can send UTF-8 sequences and they will be displayed correctly.
Clients
| Client | User enabled | Server enabled |
|---|---|---|
| Mushclient | Yes | No |
| Putty | Yes | Yes |
